Loyalty & Retention Mechanics

The Problem: 1 in 4 clients leave every year. (26% average annual churn rate)

The Solution: Well-designed gamification with clear goals can boost loyalty program retention by up to 30%.

Stop losing users to boredom. We build behavioral mechanics that keep customers coming back:

  • Points & Reward Systems
  • Daily Missions & Challenges
  • Badges & Achievement Unlocks
  • Tiered Loyalty Programs
  • Real-Time Progress Tracking

Why Gamification Works (When Done Right)

At the core of every high-performing campaign is behavioral psychology. People naturally crave challenge, achievement, and reward.

Poorly designed loyalty programs waste budget. Well-matched gamification mechanics turn that same spend into higher conversions, stronger retention, and clear, measurable ROI.

And the market agrees: the global gamification industry keeps growing year over year.

Selected Gamification Projects

Digital Citizenship Game

ZeroHint × Turkish Ministry of National Education & Council of Europe

Turned a digital citizenship curriculum into a browser-based 3D game – kids solve 10 mission-based minigames to save a city, instead of reading about online risks.

5M+ middle school students reached via EBA (Turkey’s national education platform), in Turkish & English.

Gamified Physiotherapy

ZeroHint × Hacettepe University (TÜBİTAK-supported)

Patients weren’t avoiding the exercise – they were avoiding the boredom of it. We turned prescribed arm-rehabilitation movements into a catapult mini-game on a touchscreen, so patients train motor and cognitive skills while completing their therapy.

A TÜBİTAK-supported research project with Hacettepe University’s Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a gamification project take?

Timelines depend less on development than on decisions. Agreeing the game mechanics might take time, and where formal approvals or institutional processes are involved, that adds to it. Once the decisions are made, build time scales with the size of the project, and we deliver quickly within the timeframe you need.

How much does a gamification project cost?

It depends on the mechanic, the platform, and the scope. A campaign micro-game and a national-scale learning platform aren't in the same range. Rather than quoting a number that won't fit your case, we start with a free 15-minute discovery call: you tell us the goal, audience, platform and timeline, and we come back with a scope and a figure.

Can you white-label the work for our agency?

Yes. Projects can be delivered under your agency's brand, with your client never seeing our name. We work remotely with agencies, and can join your calls as your development team rather than as a third party.

Do we need to build an app, or can it run in a browser?

Most projects run in the browser. The Digital Citizenship Game is a browser-based 3D game and reached 5M+ students through EBA, Turkey's national education platform, with no download required. A native mobile app makes sense when the experience needs device features - camera, offline play, push notifications, or in-app purchases, as in the Play-to-Earn project. We'll recommend the lighter option whenever it fits the goal.

How do you measure whether gamification worked?

Every project ships with a dashboard. You'll be able to track completion rate, time spent per game or per stage, repeat visits, and conversion rate.

What's the difference between gamification and a serious game?

Gamification adds game mechanics (points, progress, rewards, competition) to something that isn't a game. A serious game is a complete game from start to finish, but its purpose is teaching or behaviour change rather than entertainment. Our Digital Citizenship Game is the second kind: a browser-based 3D world where students complete ten missions. A campaign spin-to-win is the first.

What is an interactive marketing strategy?

An interactive marketing strategy replaces one-way messaging with something the audience does. Instead of asking people to read a claim, you give them a decision, a score, or a reward that makes them participants. Gamification is the sharpest tool for this because it carries a built-in reason to engage: a spin-to-win turns a scroll-past into a stop-and-play, a product-matching quiz turns a catalogue into a guided journey, and a mini-game turns a booth visit into something people photograph. The mechanic should follow the business outcome - awareness, data capture, dwell time, or repeat visits.
